Job Description: Work with our client Private Bank, N.A., Private Banking Group, and various business units to analyze business processes, functions, and procedures to determine the most effective business system/software solutions to meet the needs of the business unit objectives with respect to cost estimates, date commitments, and functionality. Elicit/create/refine business requirements, and define functional specifications and objectives based on business requirements. Act as liaison across various businesses units between systems software development staff, management, and system end-users to determine requirements. The mortgage technology business/systems analyst will be responsible for contributing to the successful implementation of retail mortgage projects by ensuring that all the required elements are appropriately understood, documented, owned, and actioned. Specific responsibilities include: Coordinate and manage meetings/analysis sessions with business unit subject matter expert(s) in order to solicit and cross-reference business and functional requirements ensuring expectations are clearly understood and satisfied Document business and functional requirements utilizing applicable artifacts; Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, Workflow, Business Rules, Software Specifications, etc. Define/document application infrastructure and architecture Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers Collaborate with technology team members, end users, and other stakeholders in the testing of new software programs and applications Review, analyze, and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop testing strategies for improving or leveraging these systems Develop and execute detailed project plans based on functional specifications Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes via integration, or as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes Oversee technology/application integration and implementation Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, and end users Assist with QA/Testing to convert use cases to test cases. Skills Required: Previous experience in the financial services field, with emphasis on retail mortgage technology Minimum 5-10 years in a large complex banking organization or major consulting organization Excellent analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications interacting professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts Highly versed in various development methodologies, including waterfall and agile software development lifecycle Excellent process and data modeling skills Moderate SQL skills Strongly detail oriented, organized, and analytical Self-motivated and can work independently as well as in a team environment Proficient with MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint Desired: MBA Integration and/or direct experience with retail banking vendors; experience with mortgage servicing vendors Strong familiarity with operational risk concepts, regulatory environment Technical background in development and/or infrastructure
