russian_americaAndrei Zorin, from RGGU in Moscow, a guest scholar at NYU, will be
giving a special lecture at the CUNY Graduate Center, Comp-Lit Dept., on
the Social Impact of Contemporary Russian Literature in the late Soviet
and post-Soviet Period. (Lecture In English)
It should be great. Please come. This Thursday the 15th, at 6:30 sharp.
CUNY Grad Center is on 5th Avenue, kitty-corner form the Empire State
Bldg, the NE corner of 5th Ave and 34th St.
Once inside CUNY, sign in and show an i.d. at the entrance to the
elevators. Go up to the 4th floor, and go through the western door (the one
with no computer screens behind it). Take a left and the second or
third door on your right should be the Comparative Literature Dept Lounge.
Andrei Zorin has numerous publications in NLO, and other academic
journals in Moscow and abroad. He is also a close friend and
sometimes-collaborator of the Moscow Conceptualist poets group (Prigove, Rubinstein,
etc).
